chi.mp 1.6 Released
Release 1.6 of chi.mp is now live. This release brings you several new features and decreased latency in getting your content in to your site.
- You can now search through your contacts using full text search. We’ve added a powerful search engine that can be used to find contacts in your address book with a simple word search or using more powerful search tags, like “email:someone@someplace.com”.
- RSS and Atom feed support have been added to the list of available services. There are a couple ways to add a feed to your service subscriptions. First, you can just find the feed URL and copy and paste it into the Feed URL field on the new feed subscription page. You can also paste in the URL for a site that has a feed. For example, if you have a blog with Blogger you can just enter the URL for your blog, such as http://myblog.blogspot.com/ or even just myblog.blogspot.com. Finally, you can use the handy bookmarklet that can be found on the new feed page. Just drag the bookmarklet to your browser’s bookmark toolbar, visit the site with the feed and click on the bookmarklet to add the site’s feed to your chi.mp site. The icon for the site will even be used when displaying the feeds.
- You can now label your service subscriptions to make it easier to keep track of them, especially when you have multiple subscriptions for the same service type.
- Your dashboard activity stream now supports paging.
- We now support adding Delicious to your profile Web Services.
- Flickr photos that are displayed on your profile are now displayed horizontally to save screen space. We’ve also tightened up the interface when displaying other content so more of your stuff fits on the screen.
- You can now mark individual contacts as hidden. You can also mark multiple contacts as hidden through the Manage Multiple screen.
Enjoy the new release and please keep providing feedback at http://getsatisfaction.com/chimp so we can continue to improve chi.mp. Thanks!
